Tenoretic is an antihypertensive agent containing fixed doses of two active ingredients - Atenolol and Chlorthalidone.

For maintenance therapy of hypertension, single daily doses of Tenoretic 50mg/25mg or Tenoretic 100mg/25mg are used. Tenoretic tablets are not used to decrease cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risks in children.
Missed Dose
In case if you miss a tablet of Tenoretic, do not use the double dose if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose of this antihypertensive agent. If the delay in Tenoretic intake does not exceed 12 hours, take the needed dose immediately as it is possible.
More Information
Renal insufficiency significantly reduces the antihypertensive effect of Tenoretic (Atenolol; Chlorthalidone) fixed-dose combination tablets. Therefore, for the treatment of hypertension associated with severe renal insufficiency, other antihypertensive drugs should be used instead of Tenoretic.
Storage
Store Tenoretic tablets at room temperature from 15°C to 25°C in an original well-closed package in order to protect this antihypertensive agent from moisture, light and heat.

Warnings
Antihypertensive agents of beta-blockers group (including Atenolol) may increase the risk of congestive heart failure (CHF). If you managed to reduce high blood pressure after the beginning of using Tenoretic (Chlorthalidone and Atenolol), but CHF symptoms arise, stop using Tenoretic tablets.
